Kākāpō (Strigops habroptila) o « papagai-uluco » es un specie de ave neozelandese in periculo critic de extinction. Es un grande papagai terrestre e nocturne del superfamilia Strigopoidea.
Victime de predation per cattos, rattos, furos o mangustas, su population rapidemente diminueva usque 51 individuos in 1995. Depois, un progamma de restablimento permitte su preservation (247 individuos in 2023, in 4 parve insulas sin predator) con attention al diversitate genetic.[2][3] In 2023, un reintroducion is effectuate in Maungatautari (grande insula del Nord).[4]
