Avraham Yehoshua Heschel (1595 – 1663) era un rabbin e talmudista famose in Cracovia, Polonia.[1]
In 1654 Heschel deveniva Chef Rabbin de Cracovia, succedente Yom-Tov Lipmann Heller a su morte.[1]
Post le de massacros de Chmielnicki, Heschel habeva le manica large in permitter agunahs (mulieres cuje sposos era presumite morte) a remaritar se.[2]
Le secunde sposa de Heschel era Dina, le granfilia de Saul Wahl, qui in folklore era le rege de Polonia durante un sol die.[1]
