Le alphabeto phonetic international (IPA del anglese International Phonetic Alphabet [1]) es un systema de notation phonetic basate sur le alphabeto latin, imaginate per le International Phonetic Association como un representation standardisate del sonos de linguas parlate.[2] Le alphabeto phonetic international es usate per studentes e instructores de linguas extere, linguistas, therapeutas de pathologias del linguage, cantatores, actores, lexicographos, e traductores.[3][4]
