Hello, I am Thijs! from the Netherlands. i would like to request a bot flag for my bot Thijs!bot. It uses pywikipedia and will do over-night runs where it changes unambigious links. Ambigious links are only done in manual mode, where I check them myself. As a start the bot uses Flacus' warnfiles and the Dutch wikipedia. Currently the bot runs on more than 50 wikipedia's among which almost all with more than 10.000 articles. Thijs! 21:18, 6 augusto 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I stopped my bot temporarily. The discussion above has not really started, though. So an outcome can take a while. How long should I wait? If there is no progress on it in a week, or if there has been a conclusion, I would like to start my bot again. Thijs!bot 09:33, 8 augusto 2006 (UTC)

We already have some bots running the same software which already have a bot flag, so there shouldn't be fundamental problems with them. Multi-logon Interwiki-robots are worldwide accepted and prefered above single-logon robots. The only remaining question should be: "does this particular user run his bot well?" As far as I know, this is an experienced bot user, doing his work well, so there shouldn't be any problem. Jcb 21:50, 8 augusto 2006 (UTC)

Hello JCB> What do you suggest? Waiting for another month? Why place a moratorium on the usage of bots, when there is no solution of the problem in sight? However, it is not my problem that links on ia: are missing. Do you mind if I only do manual changes to solve conflicts with other wikipedia's? This will come down to max. 10 edits on a very busy day, to 0 edits for a week when I have less time. Thijs!bot 22:23, 27 augusto 2006 (UTC)

Hi. How do you handle the link order? Do you use another platform than the pywikipedia? Or have you implemented the link order in it yourself. Can you then tell me at which line of the script this is handled, so I might change my bot myself? Thijs!bot 20:30, 2 septembre 2006 (UTC)
