News of the World esseva un quotidian sensationalista britannic editate in diverse paises. Illo esseva fundate in 1843. Le 7 de julio 2011, James Murdoch, filio de Rupert Murdoch (proprietario del quotidian), annunciava que le jornal, a causa de un scandalo de ascoltas telephonic, publicarea su ultime edition le 10 de julio.[1]
