In 2025, un altere specie, rar, es discoperite in Marocco. Su larvas son remarcabile: illos vive in nidos de termites Anacanthotermes ochraceus, ubi son socialmente integrate. Iste larvas ha disveloppate chimic mimetismo (en) e morphologic adaptationes: su parte posterior mima le facie del termites (con spiraculos (en) mimante duo false oculos e longe papillas mimante antennas). Iste specie non pote elevar se ma su phylogenomic position le placia in le genere Rhyncomya al latere de R. puinosa in un clado continente R. peusi, R. nigripes, R. callopis.[1]
