Benjamin David "Benny" Goodman, (30 de maio 1909 in Chicago, Illinois - 13 de junio 1986 in New York) era un celebre clarinettista e conductor del orchestra durante le era del bandas grande (big band) e plus tarde le periodo del swing (un subgenere de jazz), quando "Le rege del swing" era su titulo honorari.
