For making a request for your bot, just follow these steps: |
| 1. Crea un usator pro tu bot. Il es fortemente recommendate haber le parola "bot" como suffixo del nomine del bot. |
1. Create a user for your bot. It is strongly recommended to have the word "bot" as a suffix of the bot's name. |
| 2. Adde {{bot}} in su pagina de usuario. Per exemplo, si tu pagina de discussion es in "es": {{bot|TuNomine|site=es}}. |
2. Add {{bot}} into its user page. For example, if your talk page is in "en": {{bot|YourName|site=en}}. |
| 3. Usa le button pro crear un nove pagina. Le nomine debere esser "Wikipedia:Requesta de " e le nomine de tu bot. |
3. Use the button for creating a new page. The name should be "Wikipedia:Requesta de " and the name of your bot. |
| 4. Transclude le requesta al fin de iste pagina. Per exemplo: "{{Wikipedia:Requesta de BOT}}", ubi BOT es le nomine de tu bot. |

- In my opinion, "cosmetic changes" still requires some human supervision, especially when it is editing outside the main namespace. My suggestion is to configure the bot to only maintain interwiki links. --Julian (disc.) 20:15, 9 junio 2009 (UTC)

- I can do that, but can you give me some examples of cosmetic changes which require supervision? The bot is programmed to be able to run automatically and shouldn't make changes which are possibly problematic. Interwiki.py in general is known to have a problem with template-namespace, so I don't run it there. Kind regards, --Maurits 09:44, 17 junio 2009 (UTC)
- The low number of active users on this wikipedia makes us a little more conservative regarding non-interwiki bots. Detecting and correcting edits of malfunctioning bots could take a long time.
- According to the description, cosmetic changes should only change the page source code, but it also formats the ISBN. We cannot be sure that a future feature will not come into conflict with local criteria or other formatting bots. For example, formatting numbers ("1,234" , "1.234" , "1 234" , "1234") on this wikipedia will produce errors that are very difficult to detect.
- For the above reasons, I find supervised runs more suitable for this script.

- The script doesn't format bare numbers, but nevertheless, I do understand your concern and will switch the cosmetic changes off for iawiki because I cannot supervise all edits in the requested degree. Kind regards, --Maurits 03:29, 25 junio 2009 (UTC)
